The Metro dedicated a nib this morning to East Hull Fire Station's charity calendar.
Firemen of Green Watch convinced their local MP - former amateur boxer and motoring enthusiast John Leslie Prescott - to relive the 2001 moment he got egg on his face. And then punched someone.
The calendar has been created to raise money for Myeloma UK and Prescott should surely be praised for such self-parody (particulary as the original incident was during a visit to a hospital).
But does the nation really think it's OK for our politicians to lash out, whatever the provocation, then laugh about it in a comedy calendar?
I'd have expected the press to be outraged. C'mon Daily Mail. Where are you when we need you?
