I was surprised this morning to see the BBC conduct an otherwise even-handed interview with Middle East editor Jeremy Bowen, while on-screen they showed Israel-supplied footage of the violence and killing which broke out on a convoy of aid ships destined for the Gaza strip, complete with annotations.
There was no accompanying explanation that the footage and annotations were provided by Israel.
The accompanying video was merely presented as the definitive footage of the events as they unfolded. (Though the BBC is clear on its origin in its online report).
I appreciate one definition of 'balance' is showing all extremes of propaganda - where any exists - on both sides of a political and humanitarian issue, but the BBC's lack of a heavy caveat regarding this footage and its provenance meant it even fell down on that idea.
