Radio 1 DJ Tim Westwood is many things. He is the middle-class, grammar-school educated, 50-something son of the former Bishop of Peterborough. He is also the self-proclaimed 'Big Dog' (which presumably is a nickname of note within the music industry, rather than a reference to any tendancy he may or may not have to lick his privates or itch his bumhole on the carpet whenever the family has company over for tea).
But a great wordsmith he ain't. A piece in The News Of The World today - offering his take on England's path to World Cup glory - makes for painful reading, including as it does lines such as:
But right now its the real deal. It's do or die right... No more old skool stuff - that's done now...It's dramatic times...
No Tim, it's utter drivel is what it is.
On behalf of all those journalists who don't go around Westwood's crib and tell him how to drop phat beats, perhaps he would return the favour and leave the editorial to the professionals.
Much love to our homies @shanerichmond and @rhodri for flagging. Peace out.

I always find it funny that when people mention Tim Westwood they always mention the fact that he's middle class (or that his dad was the Bishop of Peterborough) as if this disqualifies him from hip hop culture, rather then the fact he's been djing in various hop hop nights since the mid 80s, he was at one point practically the only man on radio playing rap and he's respected by bazillions of rappers who name drop him whenever they can.
