The World Cup has always proved a rich source of stories for both the front and the back pages - from Pickles the dog who found the World Cup trophy to the ugly spectre of crowd trouble through the 80s and 90s, the drama of the penalty shoot-outs and the inevitable heartbreak for the losers and joy for the winners.
So you'd think there would be no shortage of quality content around this quadrennial festival of football.
But in these days of limitless online content, facile celebrity placed news and the unfussy scrum for search engine traffic, there really is no such thing as 'too much' or 'too weak'. And the tabloids are really blazing a trail through any story that marries a tenuous World Cup angle with a weak celebrity story, or a pic of a scantily-clad lady.
