According to The Press Association, a Mediawatch spokesperson branded the use of 'jam rags' as "vulgar", "inappropriate" and "unnecessary" - but Ofcom received no complaints about the episode.
This didn't stop the Daily Mail from reporting this "OUTRAGE", which "shocked many viewers when it was shown on Friday night's show".
[Image: I tried to get a still from ITV Player but it was taking forever - so I 'borrowed' this from the Mail Online. I was, however, amused to see a number of Bodyform adverts punctuating some of the episodes.]
Ah a sophomoric staff member; historically a bother (albeit rare) for many television shows and their other untarnished presence on the TV.
Since nobody complained at the somewhat arcane terms, wouldn't Mediawatch and all these other mostly useless 'quality control' groups be best off diverting their work to the Mail and others who actually, you know, do people harm and grievance with some of the tripe they put out?
Then again, whilst that might be true it will not happen; all these organizations ignore the squad of white elephants and go straight for the trivial. After having seen it happen for a long time, the only reason I can fathom is that they do this to make themselves appear relevant and worthwhile.
