The problem with Greenslade's list is it lacks any kind of absolute context - he himself admits in the user comments that the Mail has been sued a lot more than the Express during the same period, but he fails to list the payouts made by Associated, Trinity Mirror or NI over an equivalent period.

We know Desmond's papers have been run into the ground and not only cross the line, but sail past it at a rate of knots on a regular basis. But why, if he's done such research into the cuts to compare the four groups and their payouts, would he only publish the Express and Star list?

It comes across as another kicking exercise by Greensnide aimed at an easy target and a man he clearly doesn't like - especially if he's sitting on the stats for the other papers...
