Back in January, The Daily Star Sunday was very quick to boast that it was "wiping the floor" with its competition (and if ever a newspaper office probably did need a good wipe-down it's easy to imagine it would be the Star's), based on its circulation figures.
At the time we pointed out the Star's boasts did not even really stand up to close scrutiny given how far adrift it actually was of its major competitors. But misplaced boastfulness or not we wonder how quick the Star will be to shout about it's latest audit board figures. The Guardian reports:
"Richard Desmond's Daily Star Sunday suffered the biggest sales fall with circulation down 12.96% to 302,357, according to the latest Audit Bureau of Circulations figures released Friday."
All things considered, March is not turning out to be the best of months for the Star.
