The English tabloids are normally the first to start throwing punches around any international football competition. But it's perhaps a sign of how far English football has slipped down the pecking order of the world game that Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet feels confident enough ahead of tonight's game to mock both the England team and the Daily Mirror with the below spoof front page:
In fact Aftonbladet has taken on many of our tabloids with a series of spoof front pages:
It could all come back to haunt Aftonbladet of course. In the meantime, The Mirror has responded with this front page of their own, including the suggestion Abba are actually Norwegian and IKEA is going bankrupt. Talk about play the man not the ball!:

Good effort Daily Mirror. That's not even an elk. It's a red deer stag, more commonly found in scotland or on exmoor.
