Despite another strong effort from The Times and a very fine front page indeed from the Independent, the Guardian takes the honours for best opening ceremony front page:

Interesting that both the Indy and Guardian seem to have broken their normal banner style in the same way, with their name text overlayed on a photo.
Almost looks like poor copycatting from the Independent.
