Despite Seb Coe trying to scare athletes off Twitter and LOCOG making a right old hashtag of ticketing, it seems social media isn't all bad in the eyes of London 2012's organisers.
A brilliant perspective on the Games is being offered by a series of cameras, positioned around the venues, each given their own Twitter accounts and unique, slightly irreverent voice - such as the table cam at the table tennis competition:
