Is Philip Davies the only MP around at the moment willing to help the tabloids out with a quote or five?
It was Davies who earlier this week was willing to put his name to a nonsense story in The Sun criticising the BBC for buying too many copies of the Guardian and not enough copies of The Sun:
"It seems that the BBC is almost keeping The Guardian afloat...It buys loads of copies of The Guardian, which hardly anybody reads, and a lot less copies of The Sun, which is read by millions..."
Davies has also been wheeled out by The Sun this week to criticise UK aid being paid to India:
"If the Indians can afford to send high-tech missions into space, they can afford to look after their own..."
He made himself available to the Daily Mail last week to criticise the BBC's hotel bills and was in the Mail again the week before, putting the boot in to the BBC's use of headhunters.
It's just a good job the BBC didn't fund India's space mission or he'd never get anything else done.

Glad someone else has spotted this. He's our local MP so we have to put it up all the time.
I've no doubt he shared Aiden Burley's opinion of the Olympics opening ceremony but he had the wisdom to keep his mouth shut.
He never resists an opportunity to give the BBC a good kicking though.
